Blue Bolt Shrimp

Blue Bolt shrimp exhibit a stunning appearance, characterized by a predominantly blue head and a body adorned with white and light blue hues, making them a captivating addition to any aquarium, particularly those with lush aquatic vegetation.

Their smaller size upon arrival facilitates easier acclimation to new aquarium conditions, with these shrimp typically reaching breeding maturity within approximately a month after introduction.

The Blue Bolts we offer showcase exceptional coloration, displaying varying degrees of blue and white patterning. Historically, Taiwan Bee shrimp, including Blue Bolts, were considered challenging to maintain and breed. However, between 2009 and 2014, dedicated hobbyists successfully stabilized the Taiwan Bee line by introducing new genetic pools, resulting in greater stability and ease of care.

It’s important to note that all Taiwan Bee shrimp varieties can coexist in the same tank without the risk of hybridization. Due to their shared genetic lineage, offspring produced by these shrimp will closely resemble their parents. Therefore, enthusiasts can confidently keep Red King Kongs, Red Pandas, Black King Kongs, Black Pandas, and Blue Bolts together in the same aquarium, enhancing the visual appeal of their aquatic habitat.
