Bloody Mary Shrimp

Bloody Mary shrimp, a vibrant variation of red Neocaridina, closely resemble Cherry shrimp. However, they boast a unique feature: while Cherry shrimp display red hues in their shells, Bloody Mary shrimp showcase a striking contrast with transparent shells complemented by deep red tissue.

The exact lineage of Bloody Mary shrimp is a subject of debate among breeders. Some suggest they are simply Cherry shrimp with intensified red tissue, while others propose a lineage tracing back to dwarf Chocolate shrimp. Drawing from our extensive experience and collaborations with top breeders, we affirm that Bloody Mary shrimp exhibit transparent bodies accentuated by stunning crimson tissue.

A word of caution: it’s advisable to keep Bloody Mary shrimp separate from other red shrimp varieties. In an inadvertent instance, the introduction of Fire Red shrimp to an existing Bloody Mary colony led to hybridization, resulting in a mix of Cherry shrimp variations.

Explore the allure of Bloody Mary shrimp for an exquisite addition to your aquatic habitat. Discover their captivating beauty and distinctive traits that set them apart in the realm of freshwater aquariums.
