Originating from Taiwan, Black Panda shrimp are renowned for their deep, intense black color and two broad, densely pigmented white bands, occasionally accented with a hint of blue. They typically grow up to 2 cm in length and have a lifespan of around two years, with females being slightly larger and plumper than males.

Omnivorous by nature, Black Panda shrimp readily consume a variety of foods, making them easy to care for. They exhibit peaceful behavior and can thrive alongside fish that do not prey on shrimp.
