Taiwan Bee Red Panda Shrimp

Taiwan Bee Red Panda Shrimp, also referred to as Wine Red Panda Shrimp, are a striking variation of Taiwan Bee shrimp resulting from mutations of crystal red, crystal black, and golden bee shrimp.

These shrimp serve as captivating additions and efficient cleaners in peaceful freshwater aquariums. Their vibrant red coloration adds ornamental charm, while their diligent scavenging for algae and organic debris ensures effective tank maintenance.

Renowned for their appetite for freshwater algae, Taiwan Bee Red Panda Shrimp adapt well to various aquarium setups with proper filtration and water quality. However, they thrive best in planted tanks offering ample food and shelter. For dedicated shrimp setups, a minimum tank size of 3 gallons for Neocaridina shrimp or 10 gallons for colonies or breeding is recommended.

In suitable conditions, Taiwan Bee Red Panda Shrimp readily breed, with females carrying eggs for approximately 30 days before hatching. Newborn shrimp resemble miniature adults and consume the same diet. Breeding shrimp should be housed in breeder aquariums equipped with sponge filters to optimize survival rates.

As with all invertebrates, Taiwan Bee Red Panda Shrimp are sensitive to copper and should not be housed with copper-based medications. Avoid keeping them with loaches, puffers, or other large carnivores that prey on invertebrates.

Omnivorous by nature, Taiwan Bee Red Panda Shrimp consume algae, detritus, and leftover food. Supplement their diet with algae tablets, quality flake food, or pellets if food scarcity occurs, such as Vin Blizzard Spinach Tablets Food or Vin Blizzard Shrimp Food.
